That's a lovely shot, Pierre. This is in San Polo. There is a very nice plaque in the top right-hand corner of the photo - well worth finding.
The figure in the distance makes the image interesting. His shadow is quite short, so this must have been taken near mid-day, when you would expect to see more people about, though this is a fairly quiet area.

When I'm in Venice I like to get up at dawn and wander around the city all by myself—then hit the market and watch them set up. Would love to be there right now!
