I'm so happy you posted this picture! I recognized it immediately because Lombardo is my mother's maiden name and I stumbled upon Fondamenta Lombardo on a trip to Venice in 2008. I've been wondering what the name of the restaurant next to it was so I could someday find my way back. Does anybody know?

This picture sets the mood of the Venice we know and love in the winter months... quiet, atmospheric, subtle....and beautiful! Thank you, Pierre.
This tranquil scene is in Dorsoduro, and the fondamenta can be found by upsetting a bald Moor.(8 letters)
Can you see how quiet it is?
Fondamenta Ca' Lombardo le long du rio dei Malpaga?
I don't know about the "Ca'", and it's "del Malpaga", but yes,NB.
Wonderful!
I know exactly where this is! The window on the right is the restaurant where by chance we'd both had dinner before we actually met each other.
"upsetting a bald Moor"? I really don't see, in spite of our friend Google's help. Well done Alexa, Bert and NB!
Je regarde votre blogue tous les jours,je me délecte avec vos merveilleuses photos d'une ville que j'adore!
