Hmmm - "gritty" - maybe that's another clue.
This is San Anzalo, no? I took a photo of that little kiosk last January, which was a clue for me. One doesn't often take the picture from this vantage point..and isn't that a dear, tiny calle if you walk down the step to the right of the diners in the lower right!! 'My'apartment along that route!
