Pierre, I've seen this bassorelievo time and again without paying much attention to where and I can't place the exact location. I do know that it's the "stemma" of the Dolfin family, which once owned the Palazzo Dolfin-Manin, known today as the Bank of Italy near Rialto. Perhaps it's on that palazzo, but for some reason my memory wants to place it somewhere around the Doge's Palace in Piazza San Marco.
This stemma can be found in two places (at least). One is on the Via Garibaldi, the other is in Campiello Riccardo Selvatico. I think that Pierre's is the former, unless he was using a tall step-ladder.

This one is on Via Garibaldi. It's high, but on tiptoe i'm right enough too. And my 200mm is very useful for this kind of shots.
