Brilliant again, Bert - you must have a visual filing system or memory second to none. We knew we knew the original, but couldn't think where it was - and straightaway, you were in there with the knowledge! Well done on these images, too.
I should explain that this image was scanned from a book (sorry about copyright and all that). The book didn't say where it was, so I 'had to' find it the hard way. The image below was taken quite recently, some years after I had found the spot.
Well, I guess that wall wasn't always so colorful, was it? (Though you'd be hard pressed to find a spot here in the States that's still recognizable from what it looked like just 100 years ago.)
I haven't been able to find the book, otherwise I would have given the title - and the year of publication. Also, this is a "one off", not a routine matter of copying everything every day.

Venice gets better with the time :)
Gosh. I had no idea Venice could look so old. It sure ranks right up there with some of our older barns.

This one has a painted textural quality --
and really conveys the antiquity of Venice. Very nice indeed.

Bert, you're so funny! Worried about copying of VDP pictures, but not what you elect to copy by others! Pot, meet kettle!
It's good that it is well maintained.
Mention of the scanned book by name would have been expected when there is hysteria about folks "stealing" photos from VDP.

The tabernacle was restored in 2003by the California chapter of Save Venice, so it was definitely taken before then!
