Dear Bert, - Is that Fabbriche Nuove to the right as we are looking at it? And further down on the opposite side, is that Ca' da Mosto hiding behind the scaffolding?
Right on both counts, Andante. A Venetian friend of mine told me that the City of Venice is paying for that scaffolding to be there while nothing is happening behind it. It's been up for at least two years (anybody out there know exactly how long?) and it must cost a fortune every day. There is a rumour that, in those cases where the scaffolding carries advertising, the scaffolding is left up long after the work is finished.
It's a pretty Mainstreet for Exile: it would be easy to be a Soul Survivor there, especially with Sweet Virginia to Shine A Light. (Make every song you sing your favorite tune.)
Oh yes Paul I am! And I like your comment Jeff! And thanks again to Bert for so much knowledge he shares with us. And to all of you for your nice visits and messages.
