Zattere
The Zattere embankmant starts at the Dogana di Mare and ends at the Stazione Marittima. It's a long promenade where people like to take a walk in the evening to enjoy the last rays of sunshine.
Behind the yellow building is the church of San Trovaso, and to the right of that (on the other side of the Rio San Trovaso) is the Palazzo Nani, one of the many buildings of the Università Ca' Foscari.
Nice shot, Pierre! The pink building does add a certain je ne sais quoi. I was going to say what Bert said about the church of San Trovaso—but I simply recognized it because years ago I used to stay in a building that faces it from across the rio Ognissanti.

The yellow and the pink building really stand out. Nice photo!
The architecture appeals to everyone! My email acct has gone kaput so I am commenting as anonymous. Kate, Visual St. Paul.

But where did you take it from? You weren't on one of those nasty big liners where you?!
