What a serendipitous discovery for you to make: a Venetian mural in the middle of the U.S. (And the artist—Hermann Krumpholz—is from Bavaria!) Hope you're having a fine time on your travels here, Pierre!
Were you able to visit the gondolas on the St. Croix River? I have a friend who rows true Venice-built beauties there in Stillwater (near Minneapolis). His website is gondolaromantica.com.

Ha ha! That is really funny. I know where this is, now. My first job after high school was parking cars in this parking lot! It looked much different then. This now is a street full of party bars for young drinkers.
