Nice to know how this is accomplished!
I loved sitting along the Giudecca Canal watching the barges with equipment float by. This is quite bizarre to those of us with cars and paved streets!
In this image you put Venice in a gorgeous green bowl. I feel as if I could eat it with a spoon.
The color of the water is really pretty. I didn't think about canal repairs before; thanks for sharing this side.

The people who are paying big bucks to stay at the Gritti and the Europa & Regina are probably complaining that this spoils their expensive view of the Salute and the Dogana.
