San Trovaso
In a quiet area of the Dorsoduro Sestiere, San Trovaso stands between a large campo and the Rio di San Trovaso, right behind the Squero. The church was rebuilt in 1570, after a great blaze that burned the former one to the ground
Gorgeous shot (love the green shutters and window boxes)! When I first started going to Venice many many years ago, I stayed with an artist whose apartment faced this church directly across the rio Ognissanti. Nice sight to wake up to every morning!

Yes, the shutters and window boxes were a radar to my eye too, Alexa! That would be a beautiful way to start the day.
I remember on my first visit to Venice (more than 40 years ago) watching a Tortoiseshell butterfly basking on the sunny wall of this church.
Gorgeous. The windows look like little Italian flags.
What a wonderful building....i m impressed!
