I love Venice for years and now I started to make a comic - and its scene is Venice. now I'm so happy to find your blog which can give me inspiration again and again with all the beautiful photos and atmosphere! thank you so much!
I linked you here (it's in Hungarian, sorry, but I wrote about my happiness when I found your blog :) http://vizvalaszto-kepregeny.blogspot.com/2010/05/venice-daily-photo.html
Bert, you're amazing :-)) I'm sure we would all love to know where does such a knowledge about Venice come. Nothing in your Blogger profile... Do you live in Venice? Have you been living here? Please give some clue...
Pookah : I'm glad if these images inspire you. And thanks for the link. And thank you too to all of you for your visits and nice messages. After so many years showing Venice (although not really daily), I always fear to "repeat myself"...
Keep 'em coming, Pierre. Your photos with reflections are true treasures which we all love, judging from the comments. This particular one delights me; boats and water in Venice, what more could I ask for? One thing: to be there myself!!
Well, Pierre, I live in England, but I have visited Venice - I've lost count of how many times - at least 12 times, and I have taken about 2000 photos (at least), mostly on film, but digital for the past couple of years. Three visits have been for two weeks, and others for one week. With this photo, I just recognised the University Architecture building since I have taken many photos around San Nicolò dei Mendicoli. I rotated the photo and flipped it to reverse the reflection, then checked it with veniceconnected. I wasn't able to see a perfect match, which is why I was not 100% sure.

You can post a reflection any time you wish. They are wonderful, the reflections you capture.
I say post all the Venetian reflections you want—especially if they're as beautiful as this!

Mmmm, beautiful!
That looks like the Rio di San Nicolò, looking towards the University of Architecture building.
But I'm not 100% sure.

This is a winner.
Who could possibly tire of any photo in Venice? Yours are truly beautiful.
I just love this picture!
