Ponte della Costituzione

Il Ponte della Costituzione, also known as Calatrava bridge, after its architect. Built il 2008, this controversial work made out of glass, steel and concrete, is the 4th bridge over the Grand Canal.
By the way, you can see other bridges here...

Haven't yet crossed over this one. (But I definitely recognize that fringed purse.) Glad you followed Lily's advice and joined in.

Nice photo. Looking through the glass looks almost surreal.

Great perspective! It almost looks like a stairway to heaven as it just recedes and disappears.

Beautiful perspective, the design look great and modern, hope I'll have the time to see this wonder in a next June work trip to Europe. Thanks for your kind visits.

Fantastic! This would also make a fine contribution to James' "Weekend Reflections" meme. Welcome to Sunday Bridges!

I'd certainly be surprised if I came across this in Venice without knowing of its existence beforehand! I love your view of it, Pierre.

I love the design of this bridge, from pictures I've seen. Nothing wrong with a little bit of modern architecture in Venice, if it's not ugly (like that boxy bank). However, I think it's too bad it couldn't have been constructed at least partially using stone. Concrete does not age well.

Is the bridge still "under repair" on one side? It's not actually all that nice to walk over, either. - And - what happened to the Webcam that was trained on it for a (very short) time???

For acrophobics, this bridge is only attractive at a distance!
