Morning Paper

A moment of peace and quiet, early in the morning. Just the time to glance through the news before the first tourists arrive.

And, as Bob Crowe said about your post yesterday, "Not a tourist in sight; how refreshing!" Ah, and then there's that striped shir!!

This is such a great shot! I fell completely in love with Venice on my recent visit. I must have taken a 500 photographs. Magic!

Now there's an elegant spot to read the morning paper! Last time I was in Venice, there were a few gondoliers looking for customers right below our apartment window—fun to watch. (In fact, one of them was this guy!)

That's the second time in my life (61 years) that I've seen the word 'passementerie' used!
