End of the day at the Miracoli

Campo Santa Maria Nova, a little campo near the beautiful Santa Maria dei Miracoli church. Maybe one of my favorites places in Venice, with its little bookshop where you can find new and used books about - among other topics - Venice and photography...

What Lisa said! Seriously, Pierre, it's so lovely I can hardly stand it. Since you live in Venice and see it every day you may not realize how this looks to those of us who miss it so much. Thank you, merci, grazie for giving us this gift (almost) every day!

Pierre, is Venice the place of your birth or did it choose you?

Beautiful capture. I love the uncrowded streets. Note to self - next time I will visit Venice in winter or early spring before the crowds arrive.

Yes, this really has that 'end of day' feel to it, a quiet, settling down. Beautiful.

If I were there, I'd meet you in the bookstore before we'd go to a cafe.

Hi to all, thanks so much for your nice messages as always! To Donna Baker, no I was not born a Venetian at all. When I stumbled upon Venice, I was more than 30. And it was not on purpose to tell the truth. But unexpectedly it has been love at first sight :-))
