Viale Garibaldi

Viale Garibaldi, one of the very few green areas in Venice. Well chiefly "green" in summer to tell the truth. You cross it when, stopping at the Vaporetto station "Giardini", you go towards Via Garibaldi and Isola di San Pietro.

This picture, more so than any other you have taken, makes my soul long and wish to be there. Maybe my soul just wishes today it could be in Italy more today. This picture is gorgeous. You are a marvelous photographer. I love the rustic setting coupled with the mysterious/soul longing of the long walkway...marvelous picture..the marriage of yesterday and today just perfectly...AMAZING PHOTO!!!! Many thanks for stirring my soul to a time before and a time I want to come to!!!!

Excellent composition. The lamps' red glow just make it sublime. I'm really enjoying the regular updates at Venice Daily Photo, thank you all.

I, too, am enchanted by the glow of the lamp and the color being repeated in the building in the distant background. The benches and path open up to the viewer in such an inviting way.

Beautifully captured, Pierre—with the pink lights all aglow. I feel like I'm back there. Love it!

I sat on one of those benches for a bit while I was on my way to Arsenale for la Biennale. I thought it was so beautiful and peaceful to find an area of Venice with trees!
