Hey, I recognize this! It's the lion on the statue of Garibaldi. I've sure never seen it looking so frozen! Very cool photo, Pierre (no pun intended).
Ditto everyone else's comments. And this poor lion isn't in a zoo!
Oh, I love that lion! I took many photos of him on my last visit as I stayed in a great little flat just up Via Garibaldi (http://www.gypsysguide.com/2009/12/renting-and-apartment-in-venice.html). It wasn't nearly as frozen when I was there, though. :)
