Hi Somepinkflowers! Congrats, you have a good eye and you know Venice very well! Indeed it's the bridge leading to Campo San Giovanni e Paolo (the church is right behind me while I'm taking this picture)...
I would never have guessed having been to Venice only once but I love the shot, as I do all of your images. Have a wonderful new year and please keep posting.
i spent most of May 2009 in venice and before going-- i guess starting about a year or so ago-- i started checking in on your blog daily. i wanted to learn where to go to see what i wanted to see.
:-)
in reality, YOU helped me see venice on my own terms, so i owe you a big thank you. i came home with over 4000 images. i could not help myself!
i have many shots of this little bridge you featured, visited there several times. witnessed the children playing soccer in the courtyard of the basilica, ate lunch there in a cafe on the corner, sat on the steps leading to the water and so on.
you are most fortunate to capture such wonderful images every day and i am fortunate to view them.
I'd like to think I would have known it -- but I'm on a friend's PC and it is not letting me see the pictures! Well, I can still wish you all a happy new year at least!

Venice often offers a so lovely everyday life...
Thank you for all your wonderful shots, Pierre, and have a very good new year!
I knew it! I was just there last week. Had a magical time in Venice and can't believe I'm back home in the US.
Your blog is a real highlight. I look forward to Venice revealed in 2010. Wishing you a very happy new year.

I'm so jealous of all the bloggers who are familiar with this scene!
right in front of the Zanipolo, I was at Al Ponte on Dec 24th -
This bridge leads from Campo SS Giovanni e Paolo and the Colleoni monument to the church of the Miracoli.
