Morning Paper
In Venice as in evry city in the world, people commute twice a day and make the most of this time spent in public transports by reading the daily papers.
Yes, you can always spot the locals in Venice—they're the ones not gawking at everything. But I think that even if I lived there (sigh), I'd still gawk!
I agree with Jennyfreckles. Living in Sydney, I still have to gaze in awe at the Opera House and harbour and never take that sight for granted. And it's VENICE!! xx

What? - reading the paper when they could be looking at beautiful Venice?
I thought that, too, jennyfreckles. Is it possible to take for granted that beautiful city?
Wonderful picture ... not a tourist in sight, Venetians living their lives - thanks for sharing

Thank goodness that newspapers are still around. I like the internet, of course, but I can't quite enjoy reading the news on a monitor.
La chance de pouvoir lire son journal à l'air...pas comme ici enfermé dans le métro!!!

I can smell the air, the water, hear the boats, see the palaces, and the beautiful women. Oh, sorry, I was supposed to be reading. Humph.
When I was there, I saw a girl doing homework on a crowded vaparetto!
One of many nice shots on your blog!
I like this scene :)
