Behind San Giacomo dell Orio

In the heart of San Polo Sestiere, in the middle of a network of straight and quiet streets, San Giacomo dell Orio is one of the oldest churches in Venice.

The colors here are perfect. I love the quiet corners of this city, don't you? Thanks again for sharing "your" Venice with us, Pierre.

Pierre, your eye for photos of your city are every bit as good as Eric's in Paris. I love your daily photo blog.

It seems that the churches, too, are tucked away in little corners. The brick and colours of the facade are warm and eye-catching.

Nice picture, indeed, only San Giacomo dall'Orio isn't in the sestiere San Polo but in Santa Croce.
