Sandy Skoglund al Palazzo Giovanelli
American artist Sandy Skoglun work is currentely (and until September 13) to be seen at Palazzo Giovanelli, a palace situated on the Grand Canal, not far from the Fondaco dei Turchi, in Santa Croce Sestiere. An interesting dive in the surrealist universe of this Massachusetts born artist.

Very interesting to view surrealist works in this space. For me, the chandeliers and carved doorway provide more than a little competition for the paintings!

Unusual art in a beautiful space in an extraordinary city!
I love the way all the color in this photo weighs in at the bottom of the picture. The top is very monochromatic. And then there is the woman in the silhouette. I could look at this picture all day. And then there is the actual artwork. And the chandeliers. And then.........
Loving the artwork and the chandeliers :-)
