John the Beheaded
A little campo, between San Giacomo dell Orio et il Fondaco dei Turchi (Museum of Natural History) almost deserted even in summer. The little church, one of the oldest in the lagoon, is dedicated to San Giovanni Decollato : John the Beheaded.
I would very much like to enter that church for a short visit. I imagine it to be cool with subdued lighting and a simple interior. Am I correct or dead wrong!?
Hi dear friends and readers. I hope you will forgive my scarce presence on this Blog. I'm currently, as I told some days ago, on a dream road trip across the USA... That's why I'm just posting from time to time, either when I'm connected or with the help of my Venetian best friends Suzy and Alain. All the best;-)

Great shot—and this has always been my favorite name for a church ever!

This pic made me travel in time. Thanks!
Reading on the side of the barge, no wonder nobody's around there.
it seems like it's very hot at the moment in Venice.
love the colours.
Poor John...
Cute little campo. Another place where a tourist like me would say--oops, lost again, but what a nice walk!
