Dinner Date

You and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to lose
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you

you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to prove
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you...

Could you be so kind as to tell me what restaurant that is? Thank you so much!

Great angle, I too think the prow (or other end!) of the gondola adds a certain something to the scene. Only six weeks and I'll be there, well, Verona and then it's just a hop on the train - can't wait.

I will be in Venice in November and would love to have a recommendation for dinner - this place looks lovely.

Yay—you're back! (I assume.) Hope you had a fabulous time over here in the U.S. This photo is so evocative. Love the light, and the way you caught the ferro of the gondola as it came into the frame. Marvelous!

Hello dear friends and readers,
Indeed no Alexa, but I took with me some of my most recent pics before I go, in order to keep posting from time to time. We are now just arriving in Los Angeles, where we will stay one week.
To Muffin : I dont remember the name of the restaurant, but it's easy to find it, it's in the middle of the Mercerie, right near the Splendid Suisse Hotel. Here is the map :

Pierre: If you are still in LA, I suggest going to the big Getty museum. It's fabulous. My other favorite is Paradise Cove, a beach restaurant in Malibu. Get the big seafood sampler and a bottle of Chardonnay and sit outside in the big wooden chairs, watching the waves roll in.

Enjoy the U.S.

Some of the places you have visited in the US certainly are different from Venice. As I've mentioned before, I'd rather be in Venice!!
