Morning Delivery
Some hours before the Grand Canal becomes the territory of vaporetti and gondolas, of tourists and visitors, it is the domain of all those who set the stage as these delivery men fulfilling each day their early and essential work.
What an unusual world you live in. I know you grow accustomed to being totally surrounded by water, and everything being brought in by boat, but it is still so different from the rest of the world.
It's great to get up early in Venice and see the real life of the city—the crew that cleans Piazza San Marco, the little kids on their way to school, and people like these delivering the essential goods by boat and cart. Thanks for sharing this, Pierre.

There doesn't seem to be room for more on this boat. Great capture and very colourfull.
Ah yes, the detail beneath the veneer of romance and mystery.

I like this. Just another delivery Venetian style.
