Basilica San Marco

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

As we are on Piazza San Marco, let's climb on top of the Campanile from where we'll have a great and magnificent bird's-eye view on the Basilica.

Thank you to my friend Alain Hamon for this image.

Lovely view. In all of my trips to Venice (four in total; not that many, really I guess) I've only been up to the top of St. Mark's Campanile once. What a view. Thank you for reminding me of what a gorgeous view it is! I like the perspective on this shot. Great color, too.

Wonderful view ... makes me a little sorry I didn't stand in line to make the ascent of the campanile.
